Since the very beginning of my pregnancy, I have been looking for items that I really want to have for the baby's arrival, and below are some of the things I've found that I MUST HAVE!!

I have pretty much known from day 1 that I want to make my own baby food when our baby is ready to eat something other than milk, and this item seems like it will make it a whole lot easier and faster to make it. It is a blender, steamer, defroster and reheater all in one. It is BPA and PVC free as well. You can buy it here.

This next item is something that I feel is completely necessary for me and baby. Instead of the typical baby monitor that monitors sound only, this monitors sound as well as video. So for my peace of mind, I can take a look at the portable video screen whenever I like to make sure baby is resting peacefully and healthily :) You can buy it here.

So we plan on using cloth diapers, for many reasons. From the beginning, Jeremy has pretty much turned up his nose to the idea for the sole reason that cleaning them after "use" is going to be too disgusting. I recently read about this on someone's blog (I would credit them but can't for the life of me remember what blog I saw it on), and I think it's the best idea EVER! You easily hook up a hose to the toilet, set the bucket on top of the opening, hang the diaper inside, and then spray the diaper clean, flush the toilet, and VOILA, no mess to touch! Such a great invention, and completely worth the $70ish it costs! Buy it here.

So i've decided to jump on the blog world bandwagon and start this 30 Days of Truth project, hosted by Courtney K over at Live Beautiful. It's a list of 30 days worth of questions that I'm supposed to answer truthfully. Now, i'm pretty sure I won't get to this every single day, but hopefully I can have it finished within 2 months time...and it'll be something to write about on those days when I can't seem to make my life sound interesting enough :) Haha.

DAY 1:

Something I hate about myself.

Well, this one's easy.

I hate that I worry about so much, and so easily.

Sometimes, I worry so much about something that I completely over think it- and it almost takes over. Most often afterwards, I look back and see that everything was fine. I don't know really how to change this part of me...and now that i'm pregnant I know that I need to reduce my stress levels in a major way. I just need to figure out how i'm supposed to go about doing that at this point.

Also, I'de love it if everyone that reads my blog would go to the right side of the page, scroll down and click on the FOLLOW link (it's below my Expecting the Unknown button). I'de love to know who reads my blog! Thanks friends!

Whoa I haven't written in 4 days. That's a record, by far! :) Well, nothing too exciting to write about. The owner of our house was in town (his job moved him to Copenhagen, Denmark) and he wanted to come walk through the house to "check up on us" apparently. SO DUMB. So I cleaned the house really well (even though it's usually clean for the most part, it's really weird having someone come into your home and critique how you are living, so I wanted the house perfect).

Our friend Jeremy has been in town for the past couple of days and him and Charlotte have been hanging out here, it's been fun :) Last night, we went to Yamn (again). They opened for Mountain Standard Time with special guest Michael Kang (the mandolin player from String Cheese Incident). SO MUCH FUN! I'm so excited that I don't get so tired so early anymore, I can make it through at least half of the headlining band now, haha. WOOHOO! Here's some pics (click to enlarge)...

Today, for the first time in a whiiiile....there were like 50 elk walking around in our yard and the neighbors yard. I took a bunch of pics, but want to make a point to say that they do the size of these things NO justice. They are HUGE! They can just step over our 4 foot fence. Some of them (the papa elks anyways) are probably a good 6 feet tall...and then some if you include their giant antlers. I see these all of the time here, but it never gets old. They are so much fun to watch. There were even babies today, who make the cutest noises everrr. You can hear them having conversations with the mama elks...it's beautiful :) Here's some pics of our elk friends...

My first iPhone post from the road...bear with me!

Jeremy has to go do a heating job back in his hometown in Kansas, so we are on our way there at the moment. Its about 4 1/2 hours from our house. Right now, we are sitting at a complete stop in the middle of nowhere waiting for our turn to go (they are fixing the road and letting one direction go at a time). Fun fun fun.

Luckily, I downloaded Chuck Season One (haven't seen it yet) onto my old iPhone, so I've been watching that the whole time. Watched 2 1/2 episodes so far...I like it a lot! He cracks me up, haha.
