Tomorrow, Porter and I leave for IL for 8 days! I'm so excited to see my family, and for them to see Porter (it's been almost 4 months since they've seen him in person)! I am going to try to blog, but we'll see what happens. My sister's bridal shower is Sunday, and I hope to see a few friends I haven't seen in a long time! Quilts

I am lucky enough to have a mom (and grandma) who are amazing at sewing, and quilting. I wanted to share some of the quilts i've gotten over the years... My mom made this for me a couple years ago...it's my favorite blanket- I sleep with it every night! This one my grandma made for me while I was in college. It's made out of a bunch of my old jeans and some of hers too...another blanket I use almost daily. This is a wall hanging quilt my mom made for me a couple years ago as well....

Morrison, CO Last Saturday night, my friend Jamie and a couple friends from MI that were here for the weekend and I went to see Pretty Lights at Red Rocks. It was such an amazing show and a great time with my friends. It was warm there all night and we danced like crazy for hours :) ...

Update on contest!

So the contest we entered to get a free ticket to Pretty Lights/Gramatik at Red Rocks, the one I talked about in this post...well, WE WON!!! Woohoooo! We were head to head with this girl (who said she would show her boobs for the ticket, so lame) and in the end we had over a hundred likes and was only 3 under her. So Gramatik, such an amazing person, gave away two free tickets instead...one to that chick and one to Jeremy- and he's giving it to me!!!! Another WOOOHOOOOO! I can't wait for tomorrow night. Can't WAIT!...

Tribune Fair 2011

We had so much fun in Kansas this weekend! We went to Jeremy's hometown, Tribune, and this weekend was their yearly fair. It's a really small town (like, 700 people). Jeremy's parents live right next to where the fair dance, 4H building, pool and carnival are...so it was easy to go back and forth. Porter did awesome! He didn't nap very well the first day, but every day after that he did great. Everyone loved seeing him and we had an awesome time :) ...
