Hey there! I am sitting here thinking about the Halloween costumes i've made for Porter in the past, and was remembering my favorite- an octopus. I am reposting the tutorial because it's too good to not :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I really wanted Porter to be an Octopus for Halloween. I originally was asking my mom to make it, but since I got her old sewing machine, I decided to do it myself. I really had no idea what to do though. I looked online for octopus baby costumes and it literally brought up 1 or 2 handmade costumes. Shoot....

Just a little update of sorts :) Life HAS been good. It really has. There have been a lot of changes in my life in the last few months, and up until about a month ago, life's been crazy yo. 10 FALL THINGS TO DO

Fall is here! I've always loved the changing of the seasons, and there's so much to do in the Fall. Every year there are a handful of things I always have to do, but this year i'm going to make an effort to do some new (to me) things. 1. Burn candles- LOTS AND LOTS OF CANDLES. Fall brings a nice crisp chill to the air, and it's nice to have some good smelling candles burning around the house. Bath and Body Works has a great Fall candle that is, don't you know, just perfect for Fall! 2....

I could camp forever

I'm sitting here by the fire outside, by myself, listening to Aquilo and loving life. It's been one of the best weekends I've had for a while. We've been camping at Chatfield Reservoir since Friday- until Tuesday, and then back Friday until Monday :) I grew up camping often, and I'm pissed at myself for not making more time to do it more often. It's so nice just being outside around lots of kids and friends. It's just feels like a break from real life...and who doesn't need that once in a while!?! ...

To the beach!

Now that we're back in Colorado, and living in Denver (as opposed to up in the mountains like we did before we moved to IL), i've been making a point to find things to do often. Especially things that are cheap or even free. I miss the water living here. Growing up in Illinois, I lived across the street from a river that I played in daily, and throughout my teens I lived near tons of lakes and rivers that friends had boats on. Well I just logged onto my blog and realized that the last year's (years? or years'? or year's? Which is it?) worth of posts are gone. What the hell.
