I haven't written about this yet, mostly because I was still a little bit lost about where I was at when it came to baby food. I have had a Beaba Baby Food Maker since my baby shower (thanks to my Aunt Colleen), and i've planned on making my own food, I just haven't really looked much into it until recently. My friend Alyssa got me an awesome book for my baby shower as well, called Baby Love, and I read that and it really helped :) I've also decided to try to feed him as much organic as I can- not that I eat organic, far from it, but I can't justify putting anything harmful into his body when his body is growing and learning and forming...I want to start good eating habits from the beginning. I do realize this means that I need to eat healthier too- and I will. I will definitely try.

So when Porter was a little over 4 months, I started feeding him rice cereal (I talked about it in this post), but only with a spoon and not mixed into his bottles. He did awesome with the spoon- I made the cereal all different consistencies over a couple of weeks and he got the hang of the spoon thing real quick.

And then last week, I started mushing up bananas in his rice cereal and he LOVED IT. I did that a handful of times, and then today, he got to try carrots (which I made in my Beaba and loved loved loved how easy it was- i'll probably do a post on that itself soon...). He liked the carrots a lot too, not that you can tell that in these pics, haha, but I just love the faces he's making :)

And yes, Porter is not 6 months yet. He will be in 2 weeks. But he was ready, and he's loving it!

On a side note, Porter has discovered his feet :)

Carrot drunk. Haha.
