What goes around comes around...
3:32 PM
Waiting for this day to be overrrr. One more night with Porter until he's gone for almost two weeks. I don't even know what to do with myself when he's gone for that long. I love having my own time, but almost two weeks is way too freakin' long.
Wanna hear about how great my day started? So I went to 7-Eleven to get Porter's lunch (yeah yeah, I know. Woke up late and couldn't pack it). I go to pay and my debit card declines and I have no good phone to transfer money into that account and no cash (my phone has been broken since last Thursday). I go outside, all the while Porter is already mowing down a "Sprinklicious" donut, to try to figure out what the heck to do. As i'm trying to download the US Bank app which won't download because the phone is soooo slow, this guy walks out and hands me the bag and said "here, take it." I about cried. I really really needed that niceness in my life. I pulled away telling Porter how nice that was of that man, wishing i'd been able to thank him more. After a rough, sleepless night, my day started with the most compassion and care from a complete stranger that I think i've ever experienced. Maybe one day i'll run into him again there and be able to return the favor. Or maybe it'll be paying it forward to someone completely different...
