I love flameless candles- Scentsy really knows what they're doing.
Except the bars aren't cheap.
So, when I came across this idea on the internet, I had to do it!

Scentsy bars cost about $5 each.
I went to the store (Walmart to be exact) and bought this candle for $4.97.
I ended up using about 1/3 of this candle and made 4 bars.
So in the end, it will make 12 bars.
For less than the same cost as one through Scentsy.
SCORE.

All you need is a pot, a candle in a glass jar, and empty Scentsy containers.

First, take the lid off of the candle.
Put it in a pot and heat the pot up until all of the wax is melted in the jar.
Next, pour the melted wax into the empty Scentsy containers.
Let the wax harden.
Done.

Super easy, and these 12 bars will last for a long time!

  1. The problem with this is that 1. if you use the DIY bar in your warmer it voids your warranty 2. Scentsy is made with food grade petroleum and oils that ate safe for people, those candles aren't. I would rather spend more money, then introduce unsafe air pollutants into my home. It was a good idea I guess.

  2. It also won't melt right, last as long, smell as strong, so many wrong reasons NOT to do this... unless your cheap and don't really care what fumes you're putting in your home. Honestly you're spending more money and time thus way.
