Lately

These three. They may all look sad, but I promise they're not. His hair. It's long enough for a pony again :) He spent the next half hour feeling it and giggling, then wanted it out. I'm so torn about the hair situation. I love it long most of the time, but sometimes his hair is all fluffy and looks so funny. I've been contemplating a little faux hawk. O hey!

This whole blog world is crazy. I'm gonna say right off the bat that I do THIS -----> I disappear for a few days, a few weeks, a month even, and I come back here apologizing that i've been gone for so long. But really. Why are we all apologizing for being away from our computers and living our lives? The craziest part to me is that I wish I could remember the simplicity of when all of this social media didn't exist and we were all JUST FINE without it. And completely contradicting that, is me wondering...

Painted nails

So I was going through my Instagram pictures the other night. Do you ever do that? Just scroll through the pictures you've posted on Instagram over time? Well I do, every few weeks. I just realized tonight actually that i've had an Instagram account for almost 3 years. I got it not too long after Porter was born, and it's so awesome to be able to look through his entire life... But anyway. I realized how many pictures I had of my toes and fingers so I thought i'd compile them all right here, haha. I love painting...

Lately

It's been snowing quite a bit lately. Usually it stresses me out, this time, i'm trying my best to just embrace it. It is really pretty. I just really need an all-wheel drive vehicle. That would make it a lot more enjoyable :) We've been doing a lot of stuff inside. Thank you Santa for the trampoline. I spend at least an hour total every day standing there listening to Porter say "watch me!" and "look at this!" while he jumps in circles or as high as he can or falls and cracks up. SimpleHuman Sensor Mirror Review

I literally didn't know I was missing something so huge in my life until I got this bad boy for Christmas (Thanks Aunt Colleen!). The SimpleHuman Sensor Mirror. How the heck did I ever pluck my eyebrows without this? How did I apply any sort of makeup without this? It is seriously so freaking amazing. It turns itself on when you sit in front of it, and then back off when you move away. The LED lights are the best. It plugs in the wall to recharge and lasts about 5 weeks between charges. These little moments crack me up on the daily. I definitely tell him no, often, but i don't shake my finger like that. I don't think i've ever done that. He spends a couple nights a week with his dad and his dad's few roommates, so maybe that's where he picked it up? But the whole point is, is that it's awesome to watch him learn new things, literally, by the second. I walked into the room as he was dong this. He had asked for milk and I told him no, that he could have water. So...

Goodbye, for now?

For a long time now, Porter will give me my phone. Like, if it's sitting on the table, he'll grab it and hand it to me. He will do that with just about anybody's phone. If it's sitting there, he must put it in your hand. I've noticed this for a long time now and never really thought much about it until lately. I'm not sure when I really "realized" it, but it kinda sunk it that he thinks that i'm supposed to always have my phone...sadly, because he always sees me with it. If it's sitting there...

Lately

It's been pretttttty cold here, as I think most of us are dealing with. But we bundled up yesterday (before it got too cold out) and played in the snow for a while. Besides that, we've pretty much been stuck in the house for over two days and i'm starting to get stir crazy. My car is currently covered in prob 6-8 inches of snow and does not look inviting, at all. I rearranged our bedroom and made P a little area of his own...kinda hard to tell in this pic, but it's awesome and P is enjoying...
