5 Things I Can't Live Without...

Snowy Day

Woke up to 8-10 inches of snow this morning, and it's still coming down. The snow is sooo pretty, and i'm trying so hard to just enjoy it. I tend to get anxiety when it snows. My car sucks driving in it, and honestly i'm scared to drive in it. These are the days in which I would love to be driving a tank, ha. Church, God and stuff.

If you're friends with me on Facebook or Instagram, you've probably seen these pictures recently. About a month and a half ago Porter and I started going to church. Flatirons Community Church to be exact. The place is huge, like, 15,000 members huge. Huge, and AMAZING. Black Friday success!

I went shopping yesterday on Black Friday for the first time ever. I wasn't planning on it at all, but it started with this coat that I saw at Puma a couple days ago that I couldn't stop thinking about. Well hello there :)

I know i've been MIA for a while. Lots going on at the moment. I've also been toying with the idea of starting a completely new blog. I'm not sure yet if i'm going to do that, so I guess we'll see. I've also purchased my own domain (www.joanellen.com) and plan on changing my blog name to Joan Ellen. First dentist visit

Porter had his first dentist appointment yesterday. The kid was a rockstar, I shit you not. They raved about how awesome he did and that he was a "model patient". He literally sat in the chair, let her lay it down, opened his mouth, and went with it. They cleaned his teeth and counted them and stuff, not too in depth of an appointment, but the kid did amazing. Halloween 2013

I better get this post up before Halloween gets too much farther behind us! Rimmel's new Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

I was lucky enough to have been chosen to try Rimmel's new Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation! (it doesn't even hit shelves until January 2014!) I love this stuff! I would say I use it daily, but considering I don't even leave the house every single day, I don't wear makeup every day. But when I do wear makeup, this is included now! I use a little bit under my powder foundation, and they work great together. The mousse isn't too thick, it's super lightweight and looks awesome on me. Home pre-preschool has begun

I have been wanting to start some sort of structured "school" around here, and this week we finally started, and it's been lots of fun already! I've been pinning ideas for a while now, and last Sunday I finally sat down and got organized. I planned the week ahead. I decided we'll work on two letters a week, a shape, a color (or two), and this week we're working on the numbers 1-5- counting them and recognizing what each looks like. Flat Acres Farm (pumpkin patch)
