Meet Lola.

She is half Pug, half Pekinese. She has a sister named Lucy (who you may have seen in previous posts), but this post is for Lola.
She is the first dog that was MY dog. Growing up, we didn't have much luck with dogs. We never picked the right breed for us and our living situation.
After Jeremy and I dated for a couple months, we talked about getting a dog. He liked bigger dogs, but I wanted a small dog. I've always liked smaller dogs better. I'm small, and I don't want my dog to be able to dominate me. So we weren't too serious about finding one, we just knew we would enjoy having one if the right one came along. We would browse the pet section of Craigslist once in a while. One day we clicked on an ad for Lola (well, for an entire litter of Lola and her siblings). I think we both fell in love at first sight, haha. We went to see her either that day or the next (can't remember for sure), and we picked her out.
She has been an amazing dog since day one. She potty trained quick, and she is so loving. She is kind of the "old lady" around here...it's hard to explain, but her demeanor compared to her little sister's just makes it seem that way.
She hates loud noises, she hides if me and Jeremy fight (we tend to get loud, oh well). She is protective of Porter. She loves treats (although she is particular in she only likes the brown Milkbone's and no other color milkbone. She mostly loves Beggin' Strips. Ha.) Speaking of begging. She LOVES to beg. Luckily for her sake she's small and it usually doesn't bother me. She is the biggest wimp when it comes to some things, but when it comes to sneaking out of the huge fenced in yard we have to wander the neighbor's yards, she has no fear. She also has no fear when it comes to elk. Or huge dogs (i.e. Boxers, Bernese Mountain Dogs). Or anything for that matter. She plays with the elk, and gets along with most dogs. But let me tell you- if a dog rubs her the wrong way - no matter the size - she will growl and/or try to bite the dogs face. Haha. Luckily she hasn't messed with the wrong dog yet and the just look at her like "Are you serious?" Haha.
