co-sleeping
{Co-sleeping} || we do it ||
11:48 PMBefore I had Porter, and while I was pregnant the whole time, I was convinced that co-sleeping wasn't for me. I couldn't bear the thought of trying to sleep with a BABY every night with me in my bed.
Well that went out the window, like, um, right away. Porter was sleeping in my bed before I knew it.
Now? I can't imagine him NOT sleeping with me. Every single night I look forward to going to bed and snuggling up next to him.
We will see how things go in the future, but I do believe he's going to be sharing my bed with me for quite some time :)

Love this post. Absolutely love it. We're the SAME way. Alea slept snuggled up to her daddy for her first few months of life. I'd just roll over when she got fussy, she'd latch on, and we'd fall back to sleep together. It worked out incredibly well with nursing. Now that Alea's older, she goes to bed in her crib and then she usually wakes up in the middle of the night sometime, I go get her, and she falls asleep snuggled between mommy and daddy. I love it :)
ReplyDeleteYou sound exactly like me before Ruby. Two babies and two co-sleeping experiences later...
ReplyDeleteNow I recommend it; more sleep for everyone and I feel much better knowing they are right next to me. Some of my very favorite things with both of them were sleeping in with them and just soaking up the moments.
That picture is so cute!! Tiny little Porter! I can't stand sleeping next to Brixton. He woke up the other night at 1:30am, Brendan was out of town, so I brought Brixton into bed with me. An hour later, after being hit and scratched and hair pulled I took him back to his bed..and finally slept.
ReplyDeleteThat's how it started for me...he would giro sleep in his crib then end up in my bed. Eventually I just put him to sleep in the bed, haha. Love it :)
